Born out of crisis, built on firm foundations
Agility and scalability are in our DNA as a business. They are as much a part of our backstory as the innovation and infrastructure that have helped build our parent company ISKO into a major global player in sustainable textiles.
In March 2020, amidst news of a worldwide shortage of medical PPE and the call for people to wear masks to help stop the spread of COVID 19, ISKO felt compelled as a business to help ease the burden on the medical community. They made the vital decision to invest in providing safe, re-useable face coverings for everyday people. It was out of this quick decision to take action that ISKO Vital+ was born!
Building on ISKO’s existing foundation of expertise, heritage and infrastructure, we were able to advance quickly from ‘start-up phase’ into a scaling global business. Within two months of launching ISKO Vital+, we were already providing safe, comfortable, reusable and affordable face coverings in line with international standards to consumers and businesses across Europe and North America.
Scaling for the future
Fast forward to October 2020, and we haven’t slowed down. Our team continues to learn, invest and grow the business – and we are now able to produce up to one million face coverings in a single day.
Our infrastructure allows us to control our supply chain and production - from weaving the cotton to rigorous product testing through to the packaging of our face coverings, which helps us to maintain best practices and avoid production bottlenecks or shortfalls in materials.
ISKO Vital+ has the agility of a start-up with the infrastructure of a global business. This means we can turn large orders around quickly and ensure that our face coverings are available to consumers and businesses whenever they need them. We may have started life as a reaction to the COVID crisis, but we are here to stay - invested in the future and committed to delivering on our promise to help stop the spread and keep our customers safe.
ISKO Vital+’s face coverings are independently tested and developed in compliance with European Committee for Standardization’s CWA 17553:2020 guidelines for community face coverings and medical face mask standard EN:14683:2019+AC Type 1.
